" Trekking with Mountains & Magic was a great choice and one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Everything was perfectly planned, our tour leader was great, very friendly and organized- he loved what he was doing. The whole trek was beautiful all the way up and down. I would recommend Mountains & Magic and the Embrace Nepal trip to everyone who likes to travel in a great atmosphere and in great surroundings."
Ahmet from Turkey, Embrace Nepal, April 2009
"Confucius said: Close to mountains make us kind, Close to water make us wise. Go to Nepal, go to the mountains. And better go there with Sam. You'll find a professional making sure you have no troubles during your trek, yet he'll make himself a very good friend to enjoy every moment together. He has his special touch to turn your trip to a lifetime experience."
Kelley & Jason from Denver, Colorado USA, Best of Nepal, April 2009
"We just got back from our trip through Nepal and wanted to let you know how much fun we had! It was definitely one of the most exciting and memorable trips of our lives. I can’t imagine traveling through that part of the world without a guide, and Sam did an excellent job of handling all the twists and turns associated with traveling in Asia. We will definitely be returning customers and look forward to more adventures with “Mountain Man Sam”!
Claudia from Canada, Classic Everest, November 2008
"Sam shared his knowledge about the area generously and also his experiences. We had a particularly difficult 2nd day due to the weather and health difficulties a group member was experiencing. I dont know how Sam knew where the track was as many of the markers were covered by snow but he always was spot on and kept a watch on all members at once to ensure complete safety for the group. He is a real professional!"
Julia from the USA, Embrace Nepal, November 2008
''Visiting Nepal and trekking the Annapurna region was a life changing experience. My mind and body were pushed beyond their limits, all my senses were on overdrive, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I am truly grateful and honored to have had Sam leading us through our journey. His cultural knowledge is worldly while his interaction with the locals is visceral. He is much more than a guide, but a true citizen of society, wherever he is. ''
Hollie from Canada, Beijing to Kathmandu, October 2008
" Travelling to Tibet was a magically experience, Sam's cultural sensitivity and understanding of the area heightened the experience. Sam's empathetic nature was evident throughout the trip. All the details were taken care of and Sam was always confident and in control even when we came up to a landslide that we needed to get around. It was an unforgettable experience!""
Roger from USA, Bejing to Kathmandu, October 2008
''Sam was more than a guide. I will always think of him as my friend and brother. He did everything humanly possible to help me in any way he could without hesitation. Tashie, our Tibetan guide was so dear to me. I grew so fond of both of these men. I am 53 and I neglected to tell that I have three herniated disks in my back. Shattered cartilage in my left knee, and suffer from chronic fatigue. But I was determined to do this. Without Sam I could never have made this trip. He was my comrade and guardian angle. I never had to ask for help. He was always there when I needed him.''
Will Frey (Baje) from the USA, Embrace Nepal, September 2008
''I went to Nepal for two weeks of sightseeing with guide Sam Hoys that included an 8 day trek to Annapurna Base Camp. This was by far the best adventure travel vacation I have enjoyed in my first 73 years of my life. Sam is a 5 star guide with about the quickest mind I have encountered anywhere. I can recommend Sam and Mountains & Magic without any reservation.''
Julie from Canada, Embrace Nepal, September 2008
''I can easily say that this trek was the most difficult thing I have ever attempted but it was also the most rewarding. I think about the mountain and that trek everyday and still can't believe I did it. Sam is a fantastic guide; he has a wealth of knowledge about Nepal and the people. He’s outgoing, personable and full of energy. He’ll tailor the itinerary to suit the group's wants and needs. Remember when Sam tells you the day’s hike is mostly flat; remember you are in the Himalayas! It’s a relative flat – it’s “Nepali flat”.
Irina from Canada, Embrace Nepal, September 2008
"I traveled with Sam to Nepal where we did the trek to Annapurna Base Camp. It was not my first trip with Sam in the lead, and I am hoping not the last. Sam is an exceptional guide and a wonderful person with a really big heart and positive outlook! One cannot help it, but to be inspired by his positive energy! Sam is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is very patient and caring. Sam is extremely attuned to everyone’s needs and is always there for you. At times I think that he can hear your mind :) because he just knows when you need help :) Sam has a great master plan, but as conditions and circumstances change he is not hesitant to quickly optimize the plan for the benefit of all. He is absolutely dedicated to you having the best experience of your life! And you do! Whenever I am off to an adventure with Sam, I know it will be an amazing and fulfilling experience! I have recommended Sam’s tours to all of my friends. Now, you just have to meet Sam for yourself! ;) On my part, I am looking forward to my next adventure with Sam." |
